Aiming at the problems that the main position of blasting and excavation in coal mine rock roadway excavation, slow blasting and excavation efficiency, high labor intensity, and so on, which to some extent restrict the production continuity of the mine, taking the TBm hard rock roadheader construction of the concentrated drainage roadway in Binchang Xiaozhuang Mine as an example, through a systematic introduction to construction conditions, process, and equipment, a comparative analysis is conducted between blasting and excavation construction and TBm roadheader construction from the aspects of roadway formation, excavation efficiency, labor intensity, etc. The TBm hard rock roadheader has construction advantages in aspects of single entry, roadway forming, reducing labor intensity and others. It has good value in solving the problems of low excavation efficiency and high labor intensity in coal mine rock roadway, as well as promoting the use of fast excavation equipment.
