Study on Occurrence Patterns and Coal Quality Characteristics of Coal Seams in Xin’an Coalfield, Western-Henan Province

新安煤田局部煤层厚度变化幅度大给矿井安全生产和采掘接替造成了严重影响。基于矿区煤炭地质钻探资料和生产揭露情况,采用统计学方法开展了豫西新安煤田煤层赋存规律及煤质特征研究,结果发现:二1煤层煤厚0~5m,平均4.04m,整体呈西厚东薄的特征;西部煤厚变化幅度较东部更大;厚度变化受顶薄褶皱和顶板或底板断裂控制作用明显;二1煤层硫分变化较大,全硫含量平均1.78%,由于有机硫含量不同,中西部全硫含量明显大于东部;煤种和挥发分含量明显受埋深影响;灰分、水分变化缺乏规律性;二2煤层厚度0~4.19m,局部发育,呈东厚西薄特点,东部局部可开采,可作为二1煤层开采保护层。研究成果有效地指导了煤矿生产。
Significant variation in coal seams the thickness with in the Xin’an coalfield have critically impacted safe production and mining succession planning. Based on coal geological drilling data and mining activity observations, this study employed statistical methods to investigate the occurrence patterns and coal quality characteristics of coal seams. The results reveal that the 2 Coal Seam has an average thickness of 4.04 m (ranging 0~5m), exhibiting a west-thick-east-thin distribution with higher variability in the western region. The thickness change is significantly controlled by the top thin folds and the top or bottom plate fractures; The sulfur content of the 2 coal seam varies greatly, with an average total sulfur content of 1.78%. Due to different organic sulfur contents, the total sulfur content in the central and western regions is significantly higher than that in the eastern regions; The coal type and volatile content are significantly affected by burial depth; Lack of regularity in ash and moisture changes; The thickness of the 2 coal seam is 0~4.19m, with local development and a characteristic of being thick in the east and thin in the west. The eastern part is partially exploitable and can be used as a protective layer for the 2 coal seam. The research results have effectively guided coal mine production.
