look of the coal bed methane.In order to verify the mine structure development features in the region, the Landmark software was applied to detail explain the 3D seismi
C information.With the detail explanation on the seismic section structures, there were 4 faults and 23 sink holes explained on the sections.The coherence cube technol
ogy was applied to directly observe the distributions of the faults and the sink holes in the region.The correction was made to the explanation of the sections.The geolog
ical structure control theory was applied to the analysis on the rich concentration of the coal bed methane and the results showed that coal bed methane would be mainl
y concentrated in the syncline and anticlinal axis part, the footwall of the reversed fault and the deep depth area.The sink holes were developed largely in pieces and z0
nes along the reversed fault and the middle and the south-east corner of the region and had obvious uneven distribution features.Thus the sink holes had caused a poo
r continuity to the seams and would not be favorable to the rich concentration and storage of coal bed methane.
