Since ancient times, Yi Jing and Chinese medicine have had the same origin, which has ensured the continuousdevelopment of Chinese civilization from both intellectual and physical aspects. Since the end of the Qing Dynasty, both Yi andTraditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) have faced significant issues during the modernization period. In the current work, we proposethe modern Yi concept that adapts to the needs of the current era and uses modern scientific spirit and humanistic concepts to studythe classics of Yi, which can provide a reference for the proposal and development of Modern Chinese Medicine (MCM). Suzhou hasa superior location and economy, a long history of Chinese medicine culture, and a deep foundation in the Chinese medicine industry.All these qualities make it a suitable city for developing MCM.
